Secret Munzees

There are secret munzees. When you find them you can scan them via your computer screen and capture them for points. Tonight I found 4 and I'm on the hunt for more but it's not easy. Here's the forum topic that got me started: Special Hidden Munzees

2. Try to get a Page Not Found on munzee.com, you'll get a cap-able munzee with a frownie face
3. Google Plano Texas Fire Department. There's a munzee on their homepage.
4. The munzee on the munzee.com homepage is cap-able
5. I remember finding one at a Boy Scouts Jamboree site this summer. I think this is the NOAC Boy Scout munzee:
6. I think the Munzee creators list of deployed munzees will likely have lots of these. The trick is to figure out on what webpage they put the munzee qr code.

8. Wikipedia
9. Face book
10. Deuce of Hearts munzee:

    Lone R thanks for the link, I'm getting a problem with Ketchup it says I have capped it but my list says no, any ideas? The NOAC press release is this the BSA boy scouts of america or another organisation that is similar?

    I'm trying to look at the captures list but it won't load. I got a 504 Gate-way Timeout message. Not sure what's up with the Ketchup munzee. I tried several browsers.
    Yes, the NOAC Press Release http://www.munzee.com/m/munzee/31/ is the BSA Boy Scouts of America munzee.

    I'm lost on some of these. Are there hints or something one can find to figure out where the secret Munzee is on the page? Or do I have to do something else?

    OK, I got playing some.

    The only one I can't seem to figure is:

    NOAC Press Release. I thought I found the press release, but one said I couldn't capture and the other said it wasn't released.

    Kind of cool stuff. I would love to be able to do one of those somewhere.

      I don't know what's up with it. I looked at my caps and NOAC Press is there on October 24. I think I capped it via the http://www.munzee.com/press/20120810-noac-boy-scouts-of-america/ page, but it's been a couple of months and I can't be sure. Wish I could be of more help. You might try contacting the munzee team to see if they can help.

    Great Blog LoneR !!!

    I have been playong Munzee for over six Months and am hooked. I started my "treasure hunting" in 2008 with letterboxing then quickly found geocaching. In June 2012 I read about Munzee on someone's blog

    I like the simplicity of Munzee, the ease of creating and deploying a Munzee, and of course capturing is a breeze. Its so quick that Muggles never usually even catch on to what you are doing.

    Love the game and an on playing for a long time.

      The green tag on the page says it is not a valid munzee, and the one in the picture of the back of the sign won't scan.

    It looks like the image was changed on Jan. 10 - must have made this one inactive, although the Munzee profile says that it is still deployed.

    A google search just turned up the Need Help? secret munzee at the German Wiki - but this still isn't the WikiZee Munzee that I need.

    When I try the link http://www.munzee.com/m/munzee/20/, I get a map with the mystery munzee but I'd like to find out how to log it. I click on it but nothing happens. Any advice?

      You are pretty much jumping right into the placement page.Which at the most you may get some hints of where to look from journal logs.Not much more to find.The name will give you a place to look on google or such.As R says just anything after that gives you the munzee qr code to scan.

    Sakidoo, you know when you're on a site and you type (or get directed to) the wrong subpage address, you get a Page Not Found message? Do that at www.munzee.com/. Make up a subpage file name that probably doesn't exist on the munzee site, like toast.html.

      I think that's the munzee on the homepage, or it could be the munzee on the
      About page.

      According to journal entries on this munzee, the code was sent in an email on or about March 1 2013. It seems that it was sent to accounts that didn't have captures yet, but many journal entries state that they had several captures, I did not receive the email. I would love to capture this free one. If anyone would like to share the email with me at ffjb21@hotmail.com I would appreciate it.
