Made a handcarved stamp for Flintstone5611's Restin' in Huttonville letterbox hybrid (spoiler)

Flintstone5611 accepted my offer of a handcarved stamp for his Restin' in Huttonville to replace the commercial swirl stamp that is currently in the box. He was very understanding when I vented a little in my online log, about how important the letterbox stamp is. I wanted to show my appreciation for his understanding by offering to carve a personalized stamp for the box.

Since the landmark in the clue is Rebecca's gravestone with a common design of the time - a hand/finger pointing up, which symbolizes the pathway to heaven or heavenly reward, I suggested that I carve that image. I carved it on a pink dollar store "Big Mistakes" eraser and used Monster glue to attach it to a thick foam backing.

The stamp was put in the Restin' in Huttonville box on Monday January 10 2011

A wordle about our Devil's Glen cache

This is a wordle of all of the logs for one of our caches, Devil's Glen. It has the most bestowed favorites of all of our geocache hides. The bigger the word the more times it was used in the logs. I love this visual. :)

TFTC

TFTC means "Thanks for the cache". Or does it?

Over time though, it's come to be code for "Your cache sucked". Especially if TFTC is the only thing posted in the online log.

That's why we often see rants from cache owners (COs) when they get TFTC-only logs on cache hides they've put some effort into. In one recent thread an OP (original poster) wrote:
I hate the term "TFTC".... One of the most enjoyable things about being a Cache Owner is reading the posts when someone finds your caches. It is cool to read a story about the find, or even just a cut and paste covering your day of caching, however when someone finds your cache and only posts "TFTC" it is somewhat disapointing!
I liked Briansnat's response:
I don't like it either. Surely you can find something to say about even the lamest of caches. "Loved the lines in the parking lot. They were nicely defined, leaving no doubt where parking is allowed and where it isn't.", or "The view of the dumpster was magnificent. Of all the dumpsters I've seen, this was one of the best. The deep shade of green contrasted nicely with the plain concrete of the nearby loading dock".
Great advice.
